Our Story
The Wynn Trust,
is a charitable organisation established to aid and support to boxers who have suffered from brain injuries. Our mission is to raise funds and awareness to help these individuals reclaim their quality of life and receive the necessary support and resources for rehabilitation and recovery. The Wynn Trust is named after our friend Charlie Wynn, a former boxer who tragically suffered a severe brain injury while sparring in preparation for a fight. Despite enduring numerous medical treatments and therapies over the past six years, Charlie is still unable to walk and requires extensive support for daily living activities. It is our goal to not only aid Charlie on his journey to recovery but to also extend our assistance to numerous others who are in similar situations. The funding available from the government for individuals with brain injuries is limited, and as a result, many are not receiving the comprehensive support needed to improve their quality of life. The Wynn Trust is dedicated to filling this critical gap by providing financial aid, rehabilitation services, and support programs that can significantly enhance the well-being of those affected. According to the guidelines provided by the United Kingdom Government on charitable purposes, The Wynn Trust aligns with the charitable purposes outlined. Our organisation focuses on the advancement of health and the relief of those in need by providing support, resources, and rehabilitation services for boxers suffering from brain injuries. By organising sponsored runs, boxing dinner shows, and auctions featuring memorabilia from famous boxing supporters, we aim to raise funds that contribute directly to the well-being and rehabilitation of these individuals.

Being actively engaged in supporting The Wynn Trust has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From running the Ibiza Marathon to participating in our monthly runs, every event has been a meaningful opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a great cause. With the upcoming Edinburgh to Glasgow ultra-marathon on the horizon, I am excited to continue our efforts and make a difference in our community. It’s a privilege to be a part of such impactful initiatives.
Atul. Brooker
elite ultra-runner
As a young elite ultra-runner, I, Atul Brooker, took on the incredible challenge of running 106km from Hastings to the London Eye in support of your charity – and let me tell you, it was an absolute success! Now, I’ve set my sights on an even bigger feat: a monumental 310km run from Hastings to Paris. This upcoming endeavour is not just about pushing my limits as an ultra-runner; it’s also about making a meaningful impact and raising funds for your cause along my journey. I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter and continue making my mark in the world of ultra-running, all while supporting the wonderful work of your organisation. Here’s to many more extraordinary adventures ahead!

Owner of BT Concrete
Hey there, I’m Blane Torode, owner of BT Concrete. Got to say, it was such a fantastic experience getting involved with your charity by tackling the South Hampton half marathon – that run was something else! And guess what? I’m all pumped up to take on two more half marathons and even conquer Mount Snowden soon. Being part of your community with those monthly runs has been amazing – it feels great to give back and connect with everyone. Can’t wait for more adventures together!
